Wall Street will be closely looking at Tesla's gross margins to gauge if the trough has passed — or if there's more downside potential ahead. Ahead of Tesla's quarterly release, several Wall Street analysts have pulled back their performance forecasts. Wells Fargo cuts target price Wells Fargo trimmed its price target by $5 to $260 on Oct. 9, leaving its investment recommendation at equal weight. However, we doubt either will be enough, and therefore more px cuts, particularly globally, may be needed in Q4 to hit the delivery target." CNN —A blistering and deadly heat wave in Italy this week could break records, with temperatures predicted to soar past 45 degrees Celsius (113 Fahrenheit) in some parts of the country. The warning comes on the heels of a report published in Nature on Monday, which found that last year’s heat wave killed 61,672 people in Europe. The heat wave is also affecting other European countries including France, Germany and Spain. This heat wave follows another one in Spain in April, which saw temperatures soar to 38.8 degrees Celsius, smashing the previous national monthly record. Scientists found that this heat wave – which also affected Portugal, Morocco and Algeria – was made 100 times more likely by the human-caused climate crisis.

It's difficult to associate Verizon with "massive savings," but that's precisely what you get on its prepaid brand Visible Wireless. Visible subscribers get access to the same rock-solid 5G network as Verizon customers, but the best deals on Visible phone plans offer similar access for considerably cheaper monthly costs. For instance, through July 5, the basic Visible plan for a single line was down to $25 per month, a $5 discount. Visible Wireless Basic Plan For $30 monthly, Visible's basic plan offers unlimited talk, text, and data with mobile hotspot on Verizon's standard 5G network. If you need 5G Ultra Wideband, Visible Plus still offers considerable value at its standard price of $45 monthly.

Investors are turning their attention to inflation data in the week ahead, following this week's hot jobs data, to further clarify the path of future monetary policy. Market participants are hoping next week's release of the June consumer price index on Wednesday, as well as last month's producer price index on Thursday, will show a downward trajectory in inflation after this week's strong ADP data spurred investor fears of further rate hikes ahead. Broadly speaking, investors are pricing in another quarter point rate hike at the July meeting. Of note, stocks tumbled Thursday after hotter-than-expected ADP data suggested the Federal Reserve has further to go in its tightening campaign. FactSet data shows analysts expect S & P 500 earnings fell 7% in the second quarter against the same quarter a year ago.

The MacBook Pro will ship in 13-, 14- and 16-inch variants, Bloomberg reported, all featuring Apple's new M3 chipset. Along with the new products, consumers and investors are watching to see how the company's Vision Pro will sell.
